Fit2Fill’s live showcase Sketch Club was one of the most established weekly gigs on the London fringe for over 5 years, presenting a lively mixture of sketch and character comedy Downstairs at the Kings Head in Crouch End. Guest stars included Russell Brand, Mark Maier and award-winning double act Colin & Fergus. Sketch Club helped to launch the careers of a number of great new acts, including 2005 Perrier Award winner Laura Solon and Edinburgh if.comedy nominees Fat Tongue. In Sketch Club’s most recent incarnation, “Sowerby & Luff’s All-Stars” the show featured top talent from one of the UK’s most downloaded independent podcasts Comedy 365. In 2003 the show was one of the first to be hijacked by infamous “Comedy Terrorist” Aaron Barschak.
