What is a podcast?
A podcast is an audio or video broadcast which can be downloaded from a web site.
Unlike the more passive medium of radio, podcasts can be listened to at any time by transfering them onto an MP3 player such as an iPod. People usually listen to podcasts on headphones, in their own space, so you have their undivided attention. Here’s a low budget video podcast produced recently by our producer Alan Benns for Gifford.
